Deposit Solutions for Chinese Ethnic Minority Name Formats

Review USDT 1, USDT 2 and other deposit options when a payment interface cannot process a Chinese ethnic minority name format.

Some customers from Chinese ethnic minority regions, such as Xinjiang or Tibet, may experience technical difficulties when entering their names through certain payment channels. Chinese ethnic minority names may use longer character formats, often five to eight characters, or the separator “·”, such as “阿亚提汗·巴拉提”. This article explains available alternative deposit options.

Understanding the issue

Customers from Chinese ethnic minority regions may encounter name-entry issues with some payment channels because of:

Common characteristics of Chinese ethnic minority names:

  • Longer name formats, often five to eight Chinese characters or more.

  • The separator “·”, commonly used in Uyghur, Mongolian, Tibetan, Kazakh and other Chinese ethnic minority names.

  • Character-encoding formats used by Chinese ethnic minority scripts.

Technical limitations: Although the China UnionPay system itself supports most Chinese names, including ethnic minority names, some third-party payment interfaces may have:

  • Character-length limits in name-entry fields.

  • Incompatibility with the “·” separator.

  • Character-encoding recognition problems for Chinese ethnic minority name formats.

Important: This is a technical compatibility issue involving a particular payment-interface implementation. It is not necessarily a restriction on your account or on the official China UnionPay system.

Recommended option: USDT cryptocurrency deposit

A USDT deposit can avoid name-format limitations in a traditional payment interface. In the Client Portal, select USDT 1 or USDT 2 only when the method is displayed for your account.

USDT deposit availability: USDT 1 deposits are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends. When using USDT 2, you may select the BSC network when it is displayed for the deposit request.

The BSC network is currently supported only for USDT 2 deposits. It is not currently available for cryptocurrency withdrawals. Availability does not guarantee immediate crediting because blockchain confirmation, system processing, verification, or review may still apply.

How do I make the deposit safely?

  1. Sign in to the Client Portal and open the deposit flow.

  2. Select USDT 1 or USDT 2 as displayed.

  3. Choose only a network shown in the current request. BSC may be selected only for a USDT 2 deposit when it is displayed.

  4. Copy the exact wallet address and confirm the asset and network before sending funds.

  5. Submit the transaction and retain the blockchain transaction ID (TXID).

  6. Check Transaction History in the Client Portal for the current status.

Important: Sending an unsupported asset or using a network that does not match the deposit request may result in delay or loss. Never reuse an old deposit address without checking the current instructions.
